Lucia is a trained Climate Reality Leader and was trained in the fall of 2015 to give climate change presentations by Former Vice President Al Gore with the Climate Reality Leadership Corps.

In March of 2017, Lucia served as a mentor at Climate Reality's Denver training and had the opportunity to serve as a panelist alongside former Vice President Al Gore, where she talked about her work as a Climate Reality leader and environmental advocate.

Since her initial training, Lucia has given Climate Reality presentations to college and grade school classrooms, along with organizations around Chicago, including the League of Women Voters and the Centers for New Horizons. She also organizes and writes about environmental issues.
